Voices Of Syria

An evening of storytelling, Syrian culture and photography.

A loyal son who wants to look after his family in Syria, but finds his life in danger. A student who arrives in the UK for an exotic year abroad, but ends up in exile. Two old friends who reunite in a strange land, and discover an enduring bond between them.

After playing packed shows at the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2015, we invite you to an evening of spoken word, music and crafts, as we retell first-hand accounts of Syrians in London.

Hear the personal stories of Syrians, as told by Syrians. Learn what London looks like through the eyes of a refugee. Discover the rich, resilient culture that sustains displaced Syrians in a fractured time.

And the stories don't stop when the lights go back on. After the main show, Syrian friends of Qisetna will be on hand to answer your questions about Syria and Syrian life in the UK.
