Martin Murphy | Producer, Writer, Composer & Lyricist
Martin’s plays have been produced at theatres including Soho Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Pleasance Courtyard and The Old Vic. Martin’s recent play Jury, produced by Park Theatre, received an OffComm Commendation from the Off West End Awards.
Martin also works with young people throughout the UK delivering workshops for the National Theatre’s 'New Views' and 'Writing for Theatre' programmes.
Matt Borgatti | Director
Matt founded children’s theatre company Goblin in 2013. He has written, developed and directed family shows performed around the UK at venues including Southbank Centre and the Royal Albert Hall.
Previous credits include Goblin’s Peter and the Wolf (National Theatre), Hey Diddle Diddle (Theatre by the Lake, Keswick), The Ballad of Rudy (Royal Exchange Manchester), Emily Rising (Little Angel Theatre), Penguin! Elephant! (Chelsea Theatre) and Mr Tiger Goes Wild (Pleasance, Edinburgh).
Mary Erskine | Composer & Lyricist
Mary has been resident co-composer/lyricist with Goblin Theatre since 2013. She is passionate about creating high quality musical and artistic experiences for young children.
Theatre credits include: Father Christmas (Royal Albert Hall), Jazz Penguin (Theatre by the Lake / Royal Albert Hall), Let’s Fly (Little Angel Theatre), Finding Santa (Little Angel Theatre), The Ballad of Rudy (Royal Exchange, Manchester / The New Wolsey, Ipswich), Pinocchio, The Nutcracker, The Pied Piper (Cornerstone Theatre, Didcot).
Mary is an associate member of the BML songwriting workshop for composer-lyricists. As a recording artist under the name Me for Queen, she has toured the UK and Europe.
Valeriya Voronkina | Designer & Puppet Maker
Valeriya is London-based performance designer working in set, costume and puppetry, specialising in theatre for young audiences. Valeriya collaborated with Goblin Theatre on A Christmas Carol at The Painted Hall and has worked with Little Angel Theatre on their puppetry workshops. This summer, Valeriya is also working with Papermoon Puppet Theatre in Indonesia.
David Duffy | Lighting Designer
David has been Head of Production at Theatre Peckham, Polka and Little Angel Theatre, where he was also lighting designer.
Children’s theatre credits include co-productions with RSC, Kneehigh, Complicite, Manchester Royal Exchange, ROH, The Egg, York Theatre Royal, Oxford Playhouse and Northampton Royal & Derngate.
David has directed national tours of Dogs Don’t Do Ballet and Five Little Monkeys. He produces the primary schools touring programme for the National Theatre, and was Production Manager for Iceland’s Hvammstangi International Puppet Festival.
