Irene Cioni | Actor-Dancer

Irene is an Italian-born London-based dancer and actor. Irene trained at Scuola Del Balletto Di Toscana and Theatre School Of Amsterdam (2000-04). For the past 10 years she has worked professionally as a performer and dance maker between Italy, Denmark and England. She co-founded Hopballehus Ensemble devising and performing large-scale theatre works, which toured in Norway, Denmark and Argentina. In London her dance work ‘Aquarium’ was defined by the press as 'simple yet exquisite; a satisfying, fresh and forward thinking work', The Place. As an actor in U.K she works in commercial, viral, film and video amongst others with directors Paul Gay, Cathy Sheehan, Eliza Schroeder, Adam Coop; she is an associate of Riotous Company performing in ‘We Are Shadows’ (RPS Award 2012) and Insomnia. She perfomed with interactive theatre Secret Cinema's ‘The Third Man’, ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Prometheus’ ('we long to hear her lilting Italian accent once more' Hollywood News) and Pirandello’s ‘Six Characters in Search of an Author’ at The Rose Theatre. Mia Theil Have | Actor-Dancer

Mia formed part of ISTA (International School of Theatre Anthropology) and the core ensemble at Odin Teatret in Denmark (2003-7), acting in four of Eugenio Barba’s main performances including Ophelia in Ur-Hamlet at Elsinore Castle in 2006. Mia works internationally directing and teaching actors, most recently for the National Ballet and Opera in Macedonia (‘Penelope X’) Guimaraes 2012 European Capital of Culture and The Freedom Theatre Palestine (‘Sarha’), Havana International Theatre Festival in Cuba (‘Bodas de Sangre’), Hilton Arts Festival in South Africa (‘Carnival over the Rainbow’ and ‘Feast Kakhulu’), Aarohan Theatre in Nepal and 14th Bharat Rang Mahotsav Festival in Delhi (‘The Caucasian Chalk Circle’ / ‘Khariko Ghero’).

In the UK she has worked at Royal Opera House and ROH2 (Dalston Songs, Operating Table, Opera Shots), The National Theatre Studio (War Correspondents), Young Vic Theatre (‘Kafka’s Monkey’, ‘My Perfect Mind’, Dost refugee projects), Secret Cinema (‘The Third Man’, Farmiloe Building), Unicorn (‘Theatre Cafe’, ‘Billy the Kid’) Spitalfields Music Festival (Royal Philharmonic Awarded ‘We are Shadows’, 5* The Times), GDIF 2012 Greenwich Festival (‘White Suit’) and Stratford Circus (‘Beware’).

 

Nikola Kodjabashia | Pianist

Nikola is considered to be one of the most eminent representatives of the Balkan and East European musical avant- guard and composer of four critically acclaimed albums: ‘The Most of Now’, 2008, ‘Reveries of the Solitary Walker’, 2004, ‘Penelope X’ (with Foltin) described by Guardian, The Times, BBC Radio 3 JazzZeitung.de, Lira.se, Giornale della Musica, All About Jazz critics as....” Probably the best record of the year”... “Magisch!”....”un ibrido perfetto”...”masterful”.. Kodjabashia morphs effortlessly from assured composer-conductor through laid-back facilitator to multi-tracking keyboard wizard”....”result, drawing on every musical language from modernism to Shadowslike twang, is masterful.” Nikola has scored music for numerous internationally acclaimed theatre productions, including Sir Peter Hallʼs ‘Bacchai’ at the National Theatre, Young Vicʼs international hit ‘Kafka’s Monkey’ feat. Kathryn Hunter, C.A.T.S. 2011 Multi winner Dominic Hillʼs ‘Crime and Punishment’, ‘The Three Musketeers and the Princess of Spain’, The Old Vicʼs production of Wajdi Mouawadʼs ‘Scorched’, the Music for Olivier award winning Jonathan Kentʼs production of ‘Hecuba’ at the Donmar and many more. Other commissions include scores for La Biennale di Venezia 2004, BBC Singers 2010, numerous scores fro BBC TV and Radio 2005/10 as well as The National Theatre 2002/3. His music is released by ReR, described by the Guardian as “one of the most adventurous and coherent of avant-rock labels.”
