He owns the three bedroom house which he shares with his younger lover, aspiring musician, Ted. The next three years will see the rise and fall of playwright, Joe Orton ; Mods and Rockers battle for supremacy across Britain's seafronts ; Parliament will decriminalise male homosexuality in England and Wales, and the balance of power within Freddie and Ted's relationship shifts with devastating consequences.

Quadrophenia meets Vicious via Entertaining Mr. Sloane in a new tragi-comic drama.

The Script Readers are proud to be producing this rehearsed reading in the next stage of development of ‘Freddie, Ted & the Death of Joe Orton’  by Don Cotter from its original workshop in 2012,  building on the very successful rehearsed reading of ‘No Reasonable Offer Refused’  by Norma Cohen at Park Theatre on 14th Oct 2013.

This marks the second play in an exciting association between The Script Readers and Park Theatre. Founded in 2008 by actor Shenagh Govan and based at Theatre Royal, Stratford East, The Script Readers (www.thescriptreaders.co.uk) encourages the development of new writing through monthly readings & feedback sessions for the writer.
