Theatre casting for D/deaf and disabled actors

25 April 2019

Supported by Graeae Theatre Company, Park Theatre will be hosting a two-day casting call to London based D/deaf and disabled actors (age 18+).

Park Theatre is committed to creating an environment, exemplary in its accessibility to its diverse community and beyond and welcomes this opportunity to open its doors to the creative talents of D/deaf and disabled artists.

Event dates:

Tuesday 28th May (BSL interpreted) and Friday 31st May 2019

Park Theatre, Clifton Terrace, Finsbury Park, London, N4 3JP

To gain the best productive exposure for all auditioning actors, we will be inviting other London based theatre Artistic Directors and Casting Directors to join us.  Please note: this is not an audition for a specific role / play.  This is an opportunity to showcase your talent to many, who will be casting and producing numerous productions in their future theatrical seasons.

Please prepare two contrasting audition pieces (one drama, one comedy), each no longer than 5 minutes.

To apply, please email [email protected], and include your contact details, access requirements, your preferred day to audition and a short  paragraph answering the following questions:

  1. Tell us of one character that you enjoyed playing and the challenges of playing that character.

  2. What character you would like to play in the future and why.
