Important Updates and FAQs

1 April 2020

Important information for ticket holders and FAQs around Coronavirus/ Covid-19 closure.

Despite the temporary closure of Park Theatre due to the impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), necessitating the postponement of all productions, we still hope to stage all of the productions in our Jan – Jul 2020 season and beyond. If you have tickets for an upcoming production, please wait to be contacted by a member of the Park Theatre team who will be in touch when we re-open and once we can confirm new dates. At that time we will offer an exchange, refund or credit note.

As a small charity, that receives no public funds, a full refund of lost performances could be financially catastrophic for us, so we are asking patrons to please consider donating the cost of the ticket rather than requesting a credit note or refund. For those who kindly donate we would like to offer a complimentary one year membership to our Friends Scheme, as a "Key Keeper", where benefits include Priority Booking.

Please be aware that from 1 April our staffing capacity will be significantly reduced and therefore we will be much slower to respond to emails than usual. If you need to speak to somebody urgently about a ticketing enquiry, please email: [email protected]

Thank you for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented circumstances.

Unfortunately, we do not yet know when it will be possible to re-open. For shows that will are now postponed, we will contact affected ticket holders when we have new dates for the show available to re-book you or offer a refund.

Park Theatre emailed about my show being postponed – can I have a refund?

We hope to stage all productions in our Jan – Jul 2020 season and beyond, and will let you know as soon as we can offer new dates. If they are unsuitable for you, or if for any reason the production is unable to go ahead, you will be entitled to a full refund. We regret that our capacity to process refunds now on postponed productions in the future is very limited, due to reduced staffing capacity from 1 April.

Can I move my tickets to a different date?

Yes, when Park Theatre re-opens. There will be no fees for exchanging tickets on productions that have been affected by COVID-19.

Park Theatre is a registered charity (number 11372230) that does not receive regular government or Arts Council funding. The easiest way to help ensure the future of Park Theatre during our closure is by donating online HERE.

Can I book tickets?

Booking has been suspended on all future performances for the time being and we regret that our box office phone lines are not open during the closure.

If you are a Park Keeper and your membership is set to automatically renew (for example on Direct Debit), this will continue as normal. However, once we reopen, we will arrange to extend your membership to match any period of closure so that you are in receipt of a full 12 months of benefits. Thank you to all of our Park Keepers and donors – your contributions matter more than ever at this especially difficult time.

I have credit note or gift voucher on my Park Theatre account – will I still be able to use it when you re-open?

Gift vouchers and credit notes are valid for one year from the point of activation. When we re-open, if you are worried about your credit note or gift card expiring, please contact the box office and we will be happy to extend the end date to make up for lost time.
