by Park Theatre

Last week we had a very productive weekend at Park. In our plan to distribute the last development packs to the public, we arranged two afternoons for which we needed all hands on deck. On Saturday we stuffed (some 4000)  envelopes and on Sunday we walked up and down streets and stairs to front doors in Muswell Hill to deliver the packs. These packs aim to spread the word (about Park) and inform people of how they can help raise funds to complete the Education Floor.

The help we received was so appreciated; especially for forfeiting the lovely weather on Saturday to form a speedy, stuffing production line and for working up a sweat in the heat on Sunday. This kind of support is so valuable and crucial to the development of Park, and making the theatre actually happen.

Within a couple of days we had received a donation cheque from a resident in Muswell Hill, so it does work!

It is methodical and a bit tiring but it felt so good to be actively doing something. It was also lovely for everyone to meet new people and have a chat. It’s a great way for ‘us’ at Park to get to know who ‘you’ are. After all, we are part of the same community and have the best interests for the area and theatre at our hearts.

Keep an eye out for news of more days when you can get involved and meet up.

Thank you again to the great group that came last weekend, we could not have done it without you.
