by Park Theatre

For the first time last night, we were able to plug in the sign at the front of the building and watch Park Theatre come to life.  It has actually been a frustrating couple of weeks on site, as the epic construction of walls and spaces has given way to the more prosaic fitting of pipes, wires and cables.  Electrical work is less dramatic than steel alignment, and less sexy than Gary, our construction manager.  (It's a little known fact that, as the diamond of aesthetics, Gary is the most beautiful naturally occurring phenomenon in the Park Theatre construction office).  [Unfortunately for Gary this does not include Yola, his only colleague].  {I'm just putting this sentence in because I feel sorry for the unusual brackets who I left out.}

Anyway, I digress.  We would have kissed a thousand electricians for the simple pleasure of flicking that switch.  It looked absolutely fantastic, and we hope that that same sign will light up Clifton Terrace and the wider area for many years to come.  A big thank you to Feast Creative and Signlex Ltd for making it happen!
