PAPERWORK AND A NEW LIFE
by Jez Bond
We have been preparing the vast number of documents which, along with the various existing and proposed plans and sections, will form our planning submission to Islington council.
I have been focussing on the ‘Applicant’s Statement’ and ‘Management Statement’ which, among other things, explain the rationale behind the project – why, who, what, when and where.
In partnership with Hughes Jones Farrell (our architects), Planning Perspectives, our planning consultants, have been instrumental both in writing many of the relevant documents and in coordinating the entire process, liaising with other team members such as the acoustic, fire and transport consultants (to name just a few) who are all writing their own respective reports.
This evening I visited Chelsea & Westminster hospital where the chairman of our board and his wife proudly sat with their new baby boy. Congratulations – and welcome to the world, Louis! There’s nothing quite as magical as a new life (apart from the theatre of course!)
