Biographies

 

Dylan Costello's journey into writing began when he was a mere sixteen years old, with a school project asking him to write an episode of a fictional soap opera of his creation. After three and a half years of crazy adventures backpacking around the globe, Dylan furthered his writing ambitions and now writes for stage, film and television as well as being Artistic Director of LGBT-focused production company Giant Cherry Productions.

Dylan’s debut screenplay Coronado won in the PAGE International Screenwriting Contest in Hollywood and is currently being produced by Polaris Productions with Fred Roos (Godfather Trilogy, Lost in Translation, Somewhere) exec producing. It is due to start filming in 2015. Dylan also scripted a short climate change film Edge of Existence which was shown to world leaders at the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit in December 2009. 

His first two stage plays Fresh Meat and Secret Boulevard premiered in London in 2010, the latter for which Dylan was nominated as ‘Most Promising New Playwright’ in the 2011 Off West End Awards (Offies). Dylan’s third play Hello, Norma Jeane was one of five winners in ‘The Great Gay Play Contest’ in Chicago, USA in 2012 and received a one-off showcase in Chicago in 2012. Hello Norma Jeane then came to London in Autumn 2014 for a 6 week run at the Kings Head Theatre. In early 2015, Dylan’s play The Glass Protégé will have its USA premiere in Chicago with a six week run at Theater Wit. 

 

Matthew Gould has been directing for a number of years both plays and musicals . He adapted comedienne Janice Day's book about getting over breast cancer for her one woman show which premiered at the Epsom Playhouse and then directed the recording of Adolf Killed my Sweetheart for ALL FM radio. Recently he directed the musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood at The Arts Theatre, London. A UK Tour of the dark and moving musical The Secret Garden and the harrowing one man monologue The Anorak by Canadian writer Adam Kelly Morton. A Body to Diet For premiered at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival along with the first UK production of the classic Azerbaijani play My Favourite Madman. He was at the 2013 Grimeborn Festival in Dalston, London with the World Premiere of a new opera The Miller’s Wife by Mike Christie followed by a season of new Asian writing for Yellow Earth. 

He has just completed a season of News Revue at The Canal Café in Maida Vale, London and a run of a new play about the actress Valerie Hobson at The Jermyn Street Theatre. The Summer of 2014 saw Matthew back at The Grimeborn Festival at The Arcola Theatre with a new actor/musician musical San Domino. Then in Autumn 2014, he’ll be directing the film Down Flew The Doves, a new English translation of the Azerbaijani play You Are Always With Me and Hello, Norma Jeane at the Kings Head.

 

Jean Gray is a British artist. She grew up in Manchester and now lives in London. Prior to graduating in Interior Design in 1997 she studied Sculpture, exploring scale, space and light in relation to the human form. 

She has designed costumes for a number of London Theatre productions. Credits include:

Jean was Costume Designer for Aria Entertainments production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood at The Landor Theatre, and its subsequent West End transfer to the Arts Theatre. More recently she has designed Pacific Overtures for the Union Theatre, San Domino for the Arcola Grimborne Festival and Hello Norma Jeane at the Kings Head Theatre.

Joshua Sung studied Drama and Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway University and graduated in 2010. He has been lighting designing for a number of years and has been finding his own style across a variety of different genres. When he is not designing, he works for Framestore as a Systems Engineer and a Witness Camera Operator. Credits include: San Domino (Arcola Theatre), The Anorak (Hope & Anchor Theatre), Shellshock (Waterloo), Thou Shalt Not (Ashcroft Theatre) and Hello Norma Jeane (Kings Head Theatre).


Antonia Petruccelli trained at Guildford School of Acting graduating with a First Class Honours in Stage Management & Technical Theatre.  She has most recently worked as Stage Manager on Jerry's Girls (St James Studio). Other credits include: ASM, Sleeping Beauty (Blackpool Grand), ASM, Next Fall (Southwark Playhouse) DSM, A Hundred Years Ago (Watermill Theatre) ASM, Noises Off (Suffolk Summer Theatre) ASM Intern, Routes (Royal Court Theatre).


Zoe Hammond is a 2014 graduate from Rose Bruford College with a degree in Theatre Design. Zoe has assisted on a variety of productions including: The Promise (Trafalgar Studios), Hero (The Royal Court), Macbeth (The Balfron Tower) and The Little Green Swallow (The Peacock Theatre). Her set and costume design credits include: Anne Boleyn (Stratford Circus) and Pig Girl (The Finborough Theatre).


Will Thompson, at 17 years old, is an aspiring sound designer from the North West. He has been involved in the technical side of amateur dramatic productions for many years, with shows such as Railway Children, Guys and Dolls and Oklahoma.  He has recently started out in professional theatre in Aloff Theatre's production of Elchin's Telescope, and is looking to go further in this world. He is currently studying for A Levels and for BTech in production arts and hopes to go on to study sound design and production at degree level.
