A brutally up-to-date retelling of the classic myth, set in modern-day Finsbury Park. Midas is offered a gift; a golden touch that could give his family everything they ever wished for - but at what cost? Midas is thrown into a world of drugs, fame and revenge porn; his attempts to create a better life for his daughter sees everything he touches destroyed. 

Artists battle for gallery space, a Rockstar rules over her entourage. Drugs, adultery and chicken wings are all on the menu as Midas’s touch spirals across the lives of all he encounters.  

Produced by Park Theatre Alumni Company through Park Theatre’s Creative Learning Programme, Midas showcases the theatre’s engagement work in a professional setting.  

Midas follows on from director Amy Allen & writer Martin Murphy’s previous collaborations including Jury which received a OnComm Commendation from the Off West End Awards.
