Bites & Scratches
Bites & Scratches is a biannual London new-writing night. It’s designed to give a platform to emerging as well as established playwrights.
Each Bites & Scratches showcases 6 extracts of brand new work. In its third iteration since 2014, Fine Mess Theatre have supported 15 playwrights in developing never-before-seen work for vital audience feedback. These include award-winners Karla Crome, Anna Jordan, Rob Hayes, Sarah Page and Camilla Whitehill, never showcasing the same playwright twice.

About Fine Mess Theatre
Fine Mess do new writing, taking their own award-winning productions all over the UK. Alongside their Bites & Scratches programme, they continue their support of one new writer annually with Bites & Scratches: Choice Cuts, supporting their development of a full draft with R&D space and a performed reading. Fine Mess are co-producing the premiere production of the very first Choice Cut - Octopus, by Afsaneh Gray. Octopus previews at The Old Red Lion 22-24 July before premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe in August at Assembly.
