What is it?

This is a weekly Zoom course for young people aged 15 - 18 who wish to explore their identity and passion as artists. Participants will work both individually and collaboratively to tell stories in different genres creating pieces of original work for a brand new podcast- Park Theatre Young Company Podcast!

 

Course Content

20 Apr / Week 1: In this session, we will identify the stories you like to tell, discover who you are as artists and explore which genres you enjoy using to tell stories through activities and practical exercises.

27 Apr / Week 2: In this session, we will explore the dynamics and individuality of the sounds of our voices and how we can use them effectively. We will also discover how sound effects can be used to enhance storytelling.

04 May / Week 3: In this session, you will start to experiment, devise and write your stories. These will be shared with the group and will receive direction and dramaturgical support to continue to develop them into your next drafts.

11 May / Week 4: In this session, you will bring these works-in-progress to share with the rest of the group and begin to experiment and rehearse how you want this podcast to sound.

18 May / Week 5: In this final week, we will rehearse your final drafts and record the podcast to be shared with an audience.

Participants will gain maximum benefit from this course by attending all 5 sessions. 


To book the whole course, add a ticket for each seperate date (not five of the same date) into your basket. Multiple ticket purchases by the same customer on one date will not be valid for the remaining dates.
