Park Theatre Young Company 15-18 Spring 2021
2 March 2021 - 30 March 2021
What is it?
This is a weekly Zoom course for young people aged 15 - 18 who wish to explore their identity and passion as artists. Participants will work both individually and collaboratively to tell stories through different mediums such as writing, music, poetry, spoken word, comedy and dance.
Week 1: In this session, we will identify the stories you like to tell, discover who you are as artists and explore which mediums you enjoy using to tell stories through activities and practical exercises.
Week 2: You will partner up with one of your collaborators to begin sharing ideas and stories that you are passionate about telling.
Week 3: In this session you will start to experiment and devise the stories collated from the previous week using different art forms.
Week 4: In this session, you will bring these works-in-progress to share with the rest of the group to supportively feedback and collaboratively continue to develop them as an ensemble.
Week 5: In this final week, we will rehearse and continue to develop these works-in-progress and discuss ambitions for them in the future.
