Personally I’ve always loved theatre. Whether going to see shows with friends and family or participating in performances myself throughout my school years, it has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but I have never before had the opportunity to experience what makes it all work. Until now…

Although my time so far as part of the Park Theatre family has been short, the small but extremely dedicated team has made me feel very welcome and kept me busy with odd jobs that have allowed me to gain a brief snapshot into what life at the theatre is like. In my time here I have already seen how much effort the team puts into making sure the theatre runs smoothly and their task can certainly not be described as an easy one.

When I leave Park Theatre, I’m sure I will not only take away memories of a great experience, and the many things that I am learning in my time here, but I think it will also allow me to appreciate future theatre visits, with an understanding that the performance I witness is only a tiny snippet of the work that goes on behind the scenes to make it all happen.

As a theatre-lover I would encourage people to visit Park Theatre, because there will undoubtedly be something here to fit everyone’s fancy. A theatre brings countless benefits to a community, but in order to do this it needs public support, so why not get involved? You can make all of the hard-work worth your while!
